Curriculum
Biography
Filip Firlefijn was born in 1979 in Wilrijk, Belgium. He studied Germanic languages and literature at KU Leuven, where he obtained a master’s degree in Dutch and English literature in 2005.
After his studies he worked in several sectors, including hospitality, sales, and project development within family businesses. In Switzerland he later held various positions, including branch manager, deputy manager, consultant, salesperson, customer service representative and administrative assistant. Until March 2026 he served as a member of the board of the Volkshochschule Interlaken und Umgebung.
Alongside his professional activities, Firlefijn works on creative projects in literature, photography, graphic design and web design. Some of his privately published works, including Boon St and Here and Now, are archived in libraries of KU Leuven.
